Village residents are now able to have yard sales. Please follow the social distancing protocols and have customers wear masks. You will need to obtain a permit from the Village Office. Two 3 day sales are allowed per year. You will also be able to have a sale for the week of July 13th to the 19th with no permit.

Spring is here and summers on its way and we would like to remind residents of the Village of some property upkeep rules:
No owner or occupant of any real property located within the Village of Waterloo shall allow such real property to become overgrown with brush, grass or weeds or allow the unlawful accumulation on such property of rubbish or trash.
It shall be the duty of the owner or occupant of any real property located within the Village of Waterloo to cut, trim and remove any such brush, grass or weeds thereon and to remove from such real property any accumulation of rubbish or trash thereon.
If such owner or occupant fails, neglects or refuses to so comply within five days after service of such notice, the Superintendent of Public Works shall cause the cutting and/or removal of the brush, grass or weeds or rubbish and trash. In any such case, the owner or occupant of such real property shall pay to the Village a fee of $150 for the first occurrence, $250 for the second occurrence and $400 for each occurrence thereafter.

The Village of Waterloo is hosting a free drive by mask pick up for village residents on Saturday, May 23rd , 10am – Noon at the Waterloo Community Center, 3 Oak St., Waterloo. Only 750 masks are available and will be distributed on a first come first served basis (while supplies last).
