As we have invited everyone to visit Waterloo for the 150th anniversary of Memorial Day, many thanks go out to the nearly 40 volunteers of the Waterloo in Bloom Committee for their part in the beautification of the Village. They plant and maintain over 50 containers with flowers to decorate the downtown area. They also plant flower beds along Virginia Street, at the seven welcome signs, the four village cemeteries, Vern’s Way and the Memory Bank. With the support of the Village of Waterloo, 68 hanging baskets also help beautify the village.
Here are some of the recent efforts that will be ongoing during this week prior to the Celebrate Commemorate events.
